OSIEA Statement on Fraudulent Job Listings

It has come to our attention that persons purporting to be the Open Society Foundations have placed a job vacancy advertisement on an internet job vacancy site, www.bestjobskenya.com, for graduate trainee placements.

Applicants have been asked to send application money to an M-Pesa number.

Please be advised:

(a) The Open Society Foundations (OSF) and/or the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA) have not placed an internet job vacancy advertisement in www.bestjobskenya.com or any other job vacancy website;

(b) OSF and/or OSIEA and its affiliates do not ask for money from applicants under any circumstances, particularly at any point during the recruitment and selection process.

OSF and OSIEA shall not be responsible for any damage or loss arising out of the unauthorized use OSF and OSIEA’s name and identity.

Unless you have received a genuine employment offer from OSF or OSIEA, please do not attend the OSIEA premises for any interview or placement.
