We Are All Sikhs: Groups Call for Support of Sikh Communities after the Oak Creek Shooting

Over 200 organizations including the Open Society Foundations called for elected leaders, and civic, faith-based, and educational institutions to address xenophobia, racism, and anti-religious hate. In an August 9th statement following the Oak Creek Sikh temple shootings, signing organizations called for religious pluralism, equality, and inclusion and for President Obama to host a summit to identify concrete solutions to address the increase of religious, ethnic, and racial intolerance in public and political discourse.
