Over the course of three days in mid-June, the Open Society Institute hosted its annual Soros Justice Fellowships meeting. Held for the first time in San Francisco, the 2008 meeting was designed primarily as an opportunity for Soros Fellows to learn about each others' work, build relationships, and share information to advance reform of the criminal justice system.

Fifty-six current and former Soros Fellows attended this year's meeting, along with outside guests and speakers, and OSI staff members from offices in New York, Budapest, and Washington, D.C.
