OSI's East East Program and Education Support Program cosponsored a consultative meeting of the Network of Education Policy Centers titled "Education Policy Transformations and the Role of Education Policy Centers," in Vilnius, Lithuania, November 11 12, 2005.
Aims of the Meeting
- Presentation and discussion of the developments in specific fields of education policy in participating countries and the role of the center in education policy transformations. Main topics include globalization and local education policy solutions; equity in education; curriculum change policy; anticorruption and transparency in education; quality and access to information; organization of PRESET and INSET education policy studies and training; and inter/multicultural issues in education policy.
- Discussion of further operation of EPC Network operation, communication, and formalization issues.
- Promotion of collaboration on the development of new joint projects on the discussed topics.
