After the 2008 war between Georgia and Russia, the international donor community pledged approximately $4.5 billion in aid for reconstruction, resettlement, and economic recovery. Georgia’s civil society has raised serious concerns about transparency and accountability of this funding. How well has the money been used? Who has benefited from the assistance?

Please join us for a discussion reflecting on the past three years of post-conflict reconstruction in Georgia.  Speakers will share their experiences monitoring the country’s foreign aid and the need for enhanced government transparency.
