Innovations in Scholarly Communication: Implementing the benefits of Open Archives Initiative

The third Open Archives Initiative (OAI) workshop brought together librarians, information specialists, publishers, scientists, and university managers who wished to explore the benefits of open archives technology and open access publishing. The event was co-sponsored by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche (LIBER), the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), and the Open Society Institute.
