At the end of his Open Society Fellowship, Mark Gevisser reflects on his travels to Russia, South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, Israel/Palestine, India, and the Philippines. Michael Heflin, Director of Equality in the Open Society Human Rights Initiative, moderates the discussion.

In the wake of advances in the campaign to achieve same-sex marriage and increased access to gender transition in some parts of the world, and the increased criminalization of homosexuality in others, Gevisser and Heflin examine how LGBTI rights have become the latest—and hottest—battleground in the global culture wars.
