Sponsored by OSI and organized by CPTech, Third World Network, and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, this meeting focused on discussion of an "Access to Knowledge" treaty, as proposed in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Development Agenda.

Representing diverse interests and areas of expertise, invited participants included Geneva-based delegates involved in Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and WIPO negotiations from developing countries, key academics, and civil-society NGOs from developed and developing countries.
