The first all-network meeting to take place in a new European Union member state, Building the Future of Our Women s Movements focused on how EU accession has affected the position and status of women in Europe and beyond.
In workshops and panel discussions, attendees pursued the following objectives:

identify what does and does not work, and find solutions for further effective development;
provide relevant technical assistance to institutional partners and women s programs;
learn about experiences of transition from other partner programs, networks, and organizations;
ensure that the original OSI region can make a difference at key 2005 forums, and identify connecting themes and issues among different regions;
provide space for critical thinking on the role of the women s movement in the new geo-political reality;
share plans and develop ideas for strategic cooperation among regions and networks.
