OSI–Baltimore hosted a discussion with Robert Raben, manager of OSI's Watching Justice project, a non-partisan, watchdog website that monitors the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The discussion was followed by a presentation on the local impact of DOJ policies by David Rocah, staff attorney of the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Maryland.

The DOJ plays a significant and singular role in shaping and enforcing the nation's policies through litigation, regulation, investigation, and implementation of laws. The mission of Watching Justice is to keep a vigilant and long-term eye on Americans' fundamental rights and liberties by providing a forum for analysis, praise, and criticism of the department's actions. It draws on the work of numerous civil rights, civil liberties, and advocacy groups nationwide.
