Prospects for Governmental Policy for Roma Conference

This conference organized by OSI's EU Accession Monitoring Program, Central European University, and ELTE-UNESCO Minority Studies was occasioned by a report from the EU Accession Monitoring Program on minority protection and minority polices in EU candidate states.

The conference aimed to examine what complex government initiative could be taken to lower the dramatic gap between Roma and non-Roma children s prospects, and what can be done to decrease unemployment among Roma.
