Please join Open Society Institute–Baltimore for the opening reception of #unconvicted, a photographic exhibit which documents the plight of pretrial detainees, many of whom are locked up for weeks or months without being convicted of any crime because of the cash bail system, which penalizes the poor for their economic status.
After seeing these incredible photos and reading their subjects’ stories, we’ll hear from Cherise Fanno Burdeen and Tara Huffman about work being done to end the unjust cash bail system.
