In March of 2012 the Campaign for Black Male Achievement brought together leaders from the mentoring field to participate in an ongoing discussion to develop plans to more effectively respond to the challenges black boys are facing in communities across the country.
The event, held at the Muhammad Ali Center, featured keynote speaker Susan L. Taylor of National CARES Mentoring and local entertainment from the Maestro J Band.
Fathers Incorporated, Mentoring USA, Black Butterfly, Inc, Urban Leadership Institute, Strategic Destiny, Inc., Admiral Center at Living Cities, Communities in Schools New Jersey, and the Open Society Foundations hosted the event.
