The Tactical Technology Collective Amsterdam and Multimedia Institute Croatia, in partnership with the OSI Information Program, are hosting Summer Source Camp, a nine-day gathering of individuals and organizations working to implement Open Source solutions for civil-society organizations (NGO's, activists, educators and independent media). The camp will offer parallel tracks for implementers and developers, with numerous shared sessions and a project fair.

The Summer Source Camp proposes to approach the issue from a practical, application-based perspective. Rather than discussing philosophies, participants will be involved with selection, installation, testing, and use of hardware and software solutions; they will do, rather than debate. For both developers and implementers, the camp will offer a chance to meet and work on practical issues with potential project partners. For developers looking for groups to use their software solution, or implementers trying to find a like-minded developer to take on their projects, the camp will provide a space for focused match-making.
