About the “We Speak” Study

To better inform the way resources are allocated, strategies are formulated, and services delivered, United Way commissioned New York University’s Women of Color Policy Network to conduct an assessment of met, unmet and emerging needs of HIV-positive women in New York City. The study goals were to end the relative invisibility of women with HIV/AIDS by allowing them to speak for themselves and to collect, synthesize and interpret comprehensive data critical for service providers, funders and decision-makers concerned with HIV/AIDS policies and programs.

This event was made possible by a grant from The New York Community Trust.
