SHARP Project Director Sue Simon participated in planning “Acting on Rights: The Women and HIV/AIDS Leadership Retreat,” at which community stakeholders laid the groundwork for a collaborative initiative to advance gender equity and human rights in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. The initiative seeks to build bridges among the HIV/AIDS, women’s rights, and human rights communities toward coordinating advocacy, sharing information, and promoting global-local dialogue. Retreat participants represented a variety of professional disciplines as well as different geographical regions.
