Grants, Scholarships, and fellowships
The Open Society Foundations award grants, scholarships, and fellowships throughout the year to organizations and individuals who share Open Society values. We look for grantees who have a vision and whose efforts will lead to lasting social change. The vast majority of our grants are awarded to organizations that we approach directly, but we do list some open opportunities below. Other funding opportunities are available through Open Society’s network of national and regional foundations.
The Open Society Institute–Sofia Foundation, in cooperation with the Open Society European Network, invites applications from groups focused on advancing climate justice on a local level in Central Eastern Europe.
The Soros Arts Fellowship supports innovative mid-career artists and cultural producers advancing social change around the world. The fellowship provides artists with the resources to develop a large-scale project on their own terms in their own local contexts.
The Open Society Initiative for Europe issues an updated call for proposals to support civil society working to combat corruption and promote good governance, in response to the coronavirus crisis.
