Grants, Scholarships, and fellowships
The Open Society Foundations award grants, scholarships, and fellowships throughout the year to organizations and individuals who share Open Society values. We look for grantees who have a vision and whose efforts will lead to lasting social change. The vast majority of our grants are awarded to organizations that we approach directly, but we do list some open opportunities below. Other funding opportunities are available through Open Society's network of national and regional foundations.
The Disability Rights Scholarship Program offers awards to individuals from Ethiopia, Lesotho, Sudan, South Sudan, Czech Republic, Georgia, and Ukraine for law degrees.
The Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa invites applications from pro-democracy organizations in the region.
The Soros Arts Fellowship supports innovative mid-career artists and cultural producers advancing social change around the world. The fellowship provides artists with the resources to develop a large-scale project on their own terms in their own local contexts.
