OSI’s Network Women’s Program (NWP) is pleased to announce that the Women's Oral History Collection 1999-2004 is now available. The collection was organized by the Women’s Oral History Network Program in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Russia, and Moldova. The program, which extends NWP's activities in the field of women's and gender history, aims to promote the use of women's oral histories for teaching, research, and curriculum development.
The collection comprises books published by groups of women from different countries and with different educational and ethnic backgrounds. Among the topics addressed are women of ethnic minorities, women in conflict and post-conflict situations, women and Islamic practice, and the impact of post-Soviet transition on women.
The NWP’s Debra Schultz served as project director. The following also worked on the project:
