Activism Made Easy: A Study of Amnesty International's Online Campaign to Stop Torture

This paper reviews Amnesty International’s tactical use of the Internet as a tool for online activism in the Campaign to Stop Torture, and in particular the contribution of the campaign website, www.stoptorture.org. It analyzes the effectiveness of the online activism approach taken and examines the lessons for nongovernmental human rights organizations.
