Baltimore Safety Net Access-to-Care Survey 2002

The survey, from OSI-Baltimore's Program on Medicine as a Profession, describes who is accessing medical care in the health care system of Baltimore, Maryland; how well the system works; and how vulnerable the safety net is. The data suggest that people are falling through the cracks because they lack health insurance, are underinsured, or have substantial medical debt—and the system is ill-equipped to address the multiple medical, mental health, and social needs associated with urban poverty.
