The September 2004 issue of Education Policy, the newsletter of the Education Policy Centers, focuses on the changes and challenges of textbook policy in post-totalitarian countries. An editorial by Dr. Bardhyl Musai argues that, in order to ensure a smooth transition to a generation of new textbooks in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, all stakeholders in a country must agree on a clear reform policy and a realistic timetable for implementation.
