This article reflects on some of the practices that have been launched through OSI's Roma Education Initiative, practices which pioneer multicultural and diversity education in the region. The practices that are discussed touch upon cross-sectoral approaches in addressing the problems of minority education, the supposed reluctance of minorities to attend school, and minority language instruction.
