  • Date
  • October 2001
  • Author
  • Reinald Doebel

The MAPA (Method for Applied Planning and Assessment) project was designed to help education programs from Soros foundations and education spin-off NGOs acquire skills in participatory evaluation and planning. The eighteen-month project began in September 2000, initially with central training (organized by ESP), and ending devolved to the network. The methodology has spread to schools, public administration, ministries, other NGOs, and even businesses. This handbook is intended as an overview and guide for workshop participants who have experience in facilitation and in the MAPA Project process.
