This collection of texts and artworks is the result of a mission undertaken by the Open Society Institute's Arts and Culture Program. The primary goal was to find untapped talent and identify Roma artists who are generally unknown to the European art scene. During research and collection, the Arts and Culture Program contacted organizations, institutions, and individuals who have already acted in this spirit, and have done their best to attain recognition for Roma art, help the Roma to appear in cultural life, and to create their fair representation.
