Mahvish Khan, lawyer and author of My Guantánamo Diary: The Detainees and the Stories They Told Me, recently gave a lecture on her experience volunteering as a Pashto translator for Afghan detainees and their lawyers.

Drawing on more than 30 trips to Guantánamo Bay and several more to Afghanistan, her book sheds light on the hidden stories of Guantánamo detainees and probes the injustices committed in the name of the “war on terror.”
