ScholarForum: Public Health/Southeast Asia

  • Date
  • Winter 2013/14

This issue of ScholarForum, the journal of the Open Society Scholarship Programs, contains contributions from grantees and alumni on issues related to public health issues worldwide, as well as a geographic focus on a wider range of topics on Southeast Asia.

Our contributors focus on controversial issues such as female genital cutting, restricted access to abortions, as well as access to harm reduction services in Central Asia. Essays on Southeast Asia touch on a range of human rights issues in territories which have and continue to experience considerable political and social flux.

Updates from our numerous alumni display their range of achievements and the diversity of work they are currently undertaking.
