The Urgency of Now: The Schott 50 State Report on Public Education and Black Males

For over a decade the Schott Foundation for Public Education has reported on educational outcomes for black males in the public education system. In September 2012 the Schott Foundation released its newest report analyzing the most recent state reported graduation and school suspension data. The Foundation found that overall only 52 percent of black males graduate from high school in four years as compared to 78 percent of their white counterparts.
