Sponsored by OSI-Baltimore, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and The City of Baltimore, the "Cities on the Right Track" national conference featured a number of effective drug addiction treatment systems that are making significant, positive changes in cities across the country. Speakers included city leaders and experts who are implementing these programs; building active partnerships among city, state, and private funders; and creating new delivery systems that have stemmed the tide of drug addiction in a number of major urban centers.
The conference opened with an evening plenary session at which four mayors presented the challenges they face to provide citizens with the treatment that is needed; the following day featured best practices from practitioners from cities nationwide.
