The Open Society Institute hosted a discussion at the Arca Foundation with Afghanistan expert and human rights specialist Paula Newberg, who is currently a special advisor to the United Nations and guest scholar at the Brookings Institution. She addressed recent political and cultural developments in the region and their impact on future generations. Using her field experience and policy expertise, Newberg put recent events into Afghanistan s historical context.
