The Media Toolkit on Sex Work and Human Rights was developed by the Urban Justice Center's Sex Workers Project (SWP), a SHARP grantee. It is a key resource for advocates and journalists to increase public awareness of the complex and often emotional issues relating to sex work, human rights, and trafficking in persons. The toolkit is intended to introduce issues pertaining to sex work to people who are unfamiliar with them so that they can learn more about the problems faced by sex workers. The goal of the toolkit is to break down common stereotypes and conventional wisdoms so that people will think differently about both the issue and the people involved in sex work.
