For this issue of ScholarForum, grantees and alumni were asked to write about gender and sexuality. Submissions focused on subjects such as the shifting in perspectives towards traditional gender roles, contraception and abortion, women in the workforce, changing sexual mores, and the rights of gays and lesbians.
This issue includes two new ongoing sections: a regional focus, this time devoted to Central Asia and Mongolia, and a section devoted to the personal experiences of scholarship participants.
