The Time Is Now

The Time Is Now: Funding Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Youth Fellowships argues that, in order to expand the leadership pipeline of young activists from impacted communities and support youth with the lived experience of shifting power, fellowships need to be rooted in equity.

The guide has been drawn from the experiences of the Open Society Foundations’ Youth Exchange and its grantees, and it is primarily intended for funders. The insights, practical guidance, and suggestions it offers, however, will be valuable to any practitioner who wishes to help remove the structural barriers facing youth activists all over the world today.
