Afghanistan’s Human Toll

Erica Gaston, a human rights lawyer working for the Open Society Institute, talks about her work to address the human costs of the war in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Last year alone 2400 Afghan civilians were killed in conflict. In Pakistan, an estimated three million people were displaced due to conflict in the latter half of 2009.
